Average Review: A great serger I had to replace my White serger and went with this one. I really enjoy using it and it sews like a dream..the only problem I had was threading the upper looper. I must have watched the video 20 times and still don't understand how they say it is so easy to thread. The video isn't clear when it goes to the needle and until you fight with it the first time, you won't figure out how to do it. Otherwise, it's just as good as my White. Excellent! I bought this machine because in the middle of doing a bridal dress alteration of 6 layers of tulle with a rolled hem my serger died. I had to quickly run out and get another one. I was on limited funds and this one fit my budget. It has been a work horse ever since! I have no complaints. It works like a dream and I have no problem threading it. Awesome Machine I bought this serger to use as a back-up for my expensive Babylock serger. I can honestly say this one is just as good. It purrs like a kitten, is easy to thread, and does a fantastic job. I highly recommend it. Excellant customer satisfaction I had trouble with my first serger but I was able to exchange it and this one runs like a dream. There is nothing I can't sew on this serger that I used my regular sewing machine for. As a matter of face 2 Easter bunny quilts were sewn up with the serger. Thanks for everyone help. Great customer service Great machine Great serger! This is a fantastic serger! After getting over my intimidation of threading it-I find it's a breeze. It can handle a variety of fabric weights and is well worth the money spent. I plan to purchase a second one to assist with my production volume. I would highly reccomend it. The rolled hemming function is also great! In fact, the features are very good. I teach sewing lessons and plan to add a serger class to my schedule very soon. The only weak area is with the video...VHS...need to convert to a CD quick to keep up with the technological times. Sewing for a great living and peaceful life in Columbia, MD. Wow! Why didn't i buy this before? This is a very handy machine. I knew my mom liked serging but had resisted since they are hard to use and I'm busy. I picked up this model on sale Black Friday and don't regret it in the least. It has an instructional DVD video which does a reasonable job of explaining the threading. The only one of the 4 threads that is tricky is the first one. If you get past that you're home free. This model is unique to Hancock and seems to have more features for the $ than the other models. I was specifically looking for the differential feed to do gathers. Wish I had purchased it earlier! |
