I intended this machine to be a gift for my grand-children but, I liked it so much, I decided to keep it and had to order another one for them. Two of my friends also bought the same machine on my recommendation. It is quiet, easy to use and the stitches are beautiful. I already have a Janome 1001. I'm buying me another one of these machines because I miss it quite a bit! It is quiet, makes excellent stitches and is lightweight. I borrowed my mom's Viking (fully loaded with features) for awhile until I got this machine. It flies through the layers better than the Viking! I just made dresses using a satin and a slippery stretch knit and had NO problems at all with the fabrics slipping.
