Average Review: Fabric softens after washing but, also suckers. Use with caution I looked high and low for a navy/white striped cotton and thought this would be perfect for my project. I did not realized that the painted/screenprinted navy stripes would cause a problem. However, after washing the length in warm water (on delicate) as recommended, the fabric came out rippled like seersucker. Even after extensive steaming and ironing, I cannot get the fabric to lay flat. If you're looking for a smooth, crisp cotton, I'd look elsewhere. If you won't mind the ripples, know that this fabric does get softer after washing out the sizing and pressing. Also, on my length the stripes were on-grain so, there should be no layout issues. |
