The socket-holding head on the pliers wobbles. Could this be why the prongs end up outside the ring? Dritz has responded to my e-mail and is sending me a replacement. I will continue to update on this problem. Carol

I have owned a pair of these pliers and have used them to apply western snaps to western shirts. The pliers have held up very well but the little rubber o-rings have worn out. I would like to buy just the o-rings because I have a problem paying for a whole new pair of pliers ($25.99) instead of the just the o-rings. I have done way over 100 western shirts with these pliers.

I have gone through several pliers and the same problems every time.
The snap holders fail to match up every time. The base of the metal of the plier opening cracks after so many uses. I advise anyone that needs a snap toll to purchase the all steel snap toll instead of this one.
