It is very forgiving, did not show water spots when I filled the iron too full and it spilled. It has a very low sheen which gives it a very elegant and expensive look. Compared it with another "peau" satin from another company and the other didn't have the satin hand. This fabric made a beautiful flowing wedding gown for my daughter. The only negative is that it snags rather easily. I had to remove my rings and keep my hands well manicured. The snags were easy to rub out with an eraser though.
