Both sides can be used to provide contrast. I find the crepe side from the other chain store (begins with J) to be unsuitable as it looks like the wrong side of the fabric and feels cheap. This fabric has a richer texture and is great for evening wear.   A reviewer from Gaithersburg, MD Fabric worked out great as a leather jacket inside lining I used this fabric as a replacement to the inside lining of a vintage 1950s leather jacket I own. The fabric is just amazing and brings out the beauty of my vintage leather jacket. I will not hesitate to purchase this fabric again when the time comes to replace my jacket lining again.
